What is Black Elderberry?

Black elderberry whose Latin name is Sambucus nigra, is the common name of 5 to 30 species from Adoxaceae family shrub type trees. (*) Black elderberry is a type of plant which can grow in both hemispheres but has a more common population in the Northern hemisphere. Black elderberry can grow in many areas in Turkey spontaneously  and usually  has 9 leaves. Each elderberry leaf is also 5 to 30 cm long. The black elderberry's fruit, flower and stem can be used in different ways.
